Prime Day 2025: Live updates on the top deals

On the second day of Prime Day, Mashable Tech Editor Timothy Beck Werth has picked out some new top tech deals. Highlights include popular gadgets from Samsung and Beats.

Prime Day 2025 has delivered discounts on Apple AirPods 4 ($99) and Apple AirPods Pro 2 ($149). According to camelcamelcamel, that’s the lowest-ever price for the Apple AirPods 4. And the same goes for the Apple AirPods Pro 2. So how are you supposed to pick?

In our roundup of the best AirPods to buy, Mashable’s Apple expert Bethany Allard writes that the Apple Airpods Pro 2 offer “well-rounded sound, impressive active noise cancellation, plenty of portability, and a price that (if you catch it at the right time) doesn’t exceed $200.” Well that time has come, folks.

We asked Bethany Allard to compare these Prime Day deals: “The short version of this matchup: if you want active noise cancellation, grab the AirPods Pro. The longer version: the AirPods Pro drop down less frequently than the AirPods 4, making it a better deal to grab when you spot it. They’re also an all around better pair of earbuds, with ANC, four sizes of silicone ear tips for a more secure fit, and an additional hour of listening time per charge (even with ANC). If you’re between these two deals, I recommend going with the Pros.”

We weren’t sure what to expect from Prime Day, but when it comes to Apple deals, it has been amazing. We’ve been treated to record-low prices on AirPods, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and so much more. And to keep all of these discounted items safe and secure, you should consider an Apple AirTag.

As of July 9, the Apple AirTag is on sale for $19.99 on Prime Day. That’s 31% off the list price, and less than $1 off the record-low price. And if you want to pick up more than one AirTag at a heavily discounted rate, the four-pack of Apple AirTags is $64.99 for Prime Day. That works out at less than $17 per Airtag.

We didn’t think it could get any better, but then it did.

On the first day of Prime Day, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 was listed for $199.99. That was the lowest price we had ever seen at Amazon, but not anymore. As of July 9, The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is on sale for a record-low price of $189.99 this Prime Day, down from $329.99.

It’s almost like a new model is being prepared for launch. We don’t know whether or not a new edition is set for release, but Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is taking place on July 9. You be the judge.

Here’s a Prime Day deal that will send VR fans bananas: A king kong-sized discount on the 128GB Meta Quest 3S, which comes with Gorilla Tag plus a three-month trial of Meta Horizon+. It’s a whole lotta fun at the lowest-ever price for this particular bundle.

The 128GB Meta Quest 3S + Gorilla Tag combo is now just $249 — a 17% discount on the usual list price of $299.99. That’s an overall saving of $50.

We’re already a day into Prime Day madness, and, thanks to this year’s extended event, we still have three days to save. You’ll find discounts on almost everything, but we really love this deal on the MacBook Air 13-inch.

As of July 9, the latest in the MacBook Air range is on sale for $849 at Amazon. The discount applies to all colors, so you can choose from starlight, midnight, silver, and sky blue.

We’re wrapping up day one of Prime Day, but don’t forget, it’s a four-day event. You still have plenty of time to score awesome deals from Amazon. Prime Day officially ends at 2:59 a.m. ET on Saturday, July 12, aka 11:59 p.m. PT on Friday, July 11. (And we might even see some deals lingering past the official end time.)

Have the itch to shop, but not sure what you should buy on Prime Day? I’ve been covering Amazon sales for almost seven years, and here are some of the top deals I’d recommend actually shopping.

The first time I saw Sony’s butter yellow WH-CH520 headphones, I knew I had to have them. They’re so stinkin’ adorable. My only issue is that I test headphones for a living, so I really don’t need another pair. But now that they’re on sale for only $38, I can absolutely justify the purchase.

The Switch 2 has finally landed at Amazon on day one of Prime Day. However, it’s available by invite only. Head to Amazon to request an invitation to purchase the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle for $499.99.

Amazon rarely discounts its signature Kindle e-readers, but Prime Day is always an exception. And this year, you can find sizable discounts on the Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and select Kindle bundles. For what it’s worth, our tech editor recommends getting the Kindle Paperwhite (without lockscreen ads) while it’s on sale for $144.99.

Walmart saved some investory of the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle for its Walmart Deals event. We expect this one to go quickly (really quickly), so don’t wait too long!

Since Prime Day 2025 lasts for four days, Amazon has to find ways to keep things interesting this year. Not only will Amazon be dropping new deals throughout the event, but some of the most-coveted doorbuster-style deals will only be available for a limited time.

Case in point: You can get the Sony Bravia A95K Series 65-inch OLED TV for 57% less than the full retail price, or $1,498. That’s actually a darn good price for a flagship OLED TV, but there’s a catch. This deal is only available for day one of Prime Day 2025, so place your order today or risk serious FOMO.

We used to get excited about $99 AirPods. There’s just something about the phrase “$99 AirPods” that sounds right. But for Prime Day 2025, can we interest you in $89 AirPods?

That’s right, the base model of Apple’s wireless earbuds (the model without ANC) have hit a new record price. While we recommend the Pro model for most people, if you’re the type of person who loses their earbuds semi-regularly, the base model is simply safer. So, before they go the way of the $399 AirPods Max Headphones, pick up these buds while they’re still in stock at Amazon (and Walmart).

As of July 8, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are down to just $166.24 over Prime Day. That’s their lowest price on record. And if you’re not a Prime member, you can still get them for $174.99 on Prime Day.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 Pro lean heavily into AI. They also feature adaptive noise cancellation that can filter out distractions when it’s time to focus, or let in ambient sounds and voices when you need to stay in touch with your surroundings. Their adaptive equalizer feature also auto-adjusts your audio in real time based on your fit.

Prime Day 2025 has delivered discounts on the 11-inch iPad ($279) and iPad mini ($379). According to camelcamelcamel, that’s the lowest-ever price for the iPad mini. On the other hand, the 11-inch iPad has previously been available for less (but not by a lot). So does that make the iPad mini the superior deal on Prime Day?

It’s not quite that simple, so we asked Mashable’s Apple expert for guidance: “If you’re just using an iPad to watch shows, videos, and use the apps you would on your phone with a bigger display, in all honestly the 11-inch iPad will more than have you covered. However, you don’t necessarily need to grab it during Prime Day if you see it at $299 — in the past three months, the price tracker camelcamelcamel shows that it’s only wavered from that price a handful of times. The iPad mini, on the other hand, drops down to $399 a little less often. It’s also our favorite iPad for reading due to its size, so if you anticipate regularly using the tablet as an e-reader, it’s worth springing the extra $100.”

As of July 8, Samsung Galaxy S25+ (256GB) is on sale for $699.99 this Prime Day. That’s down from the list price of $999.99 and the record-low price at Amazon. It simply doesn’t get any better than this.

Another record-low price? As of July 8, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is on at Amazon for $199.99, marked down from the list price of $329.99. That’s a 39% discount and the lowest price we’ve ever seen at Amazon. Read more here.

The 11-inch Apple iPad is on sale for $279.99 this Prime Day, saving you $69.01 on list price. Our Apple expert hand-picked this deal as one of the best to drop on Prime Day. But the catch is that only the yellow model is available at this record-low price, with stock vanishing on the other models. You’re going to need to act fast to secure this low price.

The Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro) is down to a new record-low price for Prime Day. Get this popular model for just $379, down from $499.

Grab the newly released Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones at Amazon for $428 on Prime Day 2025. It’s the flagship headphones’ first price drop since hitting the market in May. Read more about this deal here.

Did the biggest pair of Prime Day 2025 deals just drop? AirPods 4 are $89 and AirPods Pro 2 are $149. Those are record-low prices and will be tough to beat.

The Best Buy Black Friday in July sale has officially started, beating Amazon to the punch with AirPods for $99.99 and Samsung The Frame TVs for under $1,000. As shopping editors, we’re often asked: What should I buy on Prime Day? In truth, virtually the entire internet goes on sale during big shopping events like this, as Amazon’s biggest competitors and individual brands also host some of their biggest sales of the year.

Here’s the schedule for this year’s competing summer sales, often dubbed “anti-Prime Day sales.”

Walmart Summer Deals

Just like last year, Walmart is hosting its Walmart Deals event, and it’s even longer than the 4-day Prime Day event. The Walmart Deals summer sale will take place from July 8 to 13, with early deals beginning July 7. To take full advantage of the sale, sign up for Walmart+ (yes, there’s a free trial).

Target Circle Week

Target recently announced it will host a Circle Week sale from Sunday, July 6 to Saturday, July 12.

The Home Depot

The Home Depot has extended its excellent Fourth of July sale through July 9 this year. Check out our guide to the top savings of the event so far.

Best Buy

This week, Best Buy kicked off its Black Friday in July sale, which runs from July 7 to 13. Best Buy typically matches Amazon prices on most Apple products, but we’ll note if Best Buy has the better price on any notable products.

We know a lot of our readers are wondering: Can you see Prime Day deals in advance? It would be a lot easier to add those Sony XM5 headphones to your cart if you were 100 percent sure the new XM6 headphones weren’t about to go on sale. Unfortunately, while Amazon does share a deals list in advance with shopping reporters and select partners, the full deals list is not available to the public in advance.

Here at Mashable, we work hard to provide our readers with the best possible deals — and at the best possible time. So, while we can’t give away specific deals in advance, we try to point you in the right direction. When we suspect a product will get further price drops, or if it’s available at a lower price elsewhere, we’ll note this in our coverage.

Lastly, Amazon has provided some information on what types of deals to expect. According to an Amazon blog post, you can expect the following deals during Prime Day 2025:

• Save up to 25% on the Kindle and the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition

• Find savings on Amazon device bundles, including Echo speakers, Blink cameras, and Kindle bundles

• Save up to 56% on Amazon Fire tablets

• Save up to 50% on Fire TV Sticks

• Save up to 32% on Fire TVs

Grooming and beauty deals:

Prime Day starts promptly at 12:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday, July 8. If you are also math challenged, and also on the east coast, that’s 3 a.m. ET on Tuesday. The sale will run through 12:00 a.m. PT on Friday, July 11.

That said, Amazon traditionally releases early deals on its own devices starting about a week in advance of the official Prime start time, as do many other brands. That means you can already shop tons of early Prime Day deals.

In our coverage, we’ll note if we expect a product to get additional price drops as the sale progresses. But, in general, if you see a product you like at a good price, don’t wait too long — it could always sell out or the deal could end.
