CrypTita Plays Brings Crypto Education to Remote PH Communities Through Mini-Libraries


With cryptocurrency and web3 applications continuing to gain traction in the Philippines, resources to learn about the industry have become a staple in onboarding new community members. 

While there are initiatives from various organizations, especially in teaching students at the tertiary level, crypto content creator Cryptita Plays, who is Arshlene Lingao in real life, took a different approach as she targets younger students in remote areas.

Crypto Resources for Kids

On March 30, 2025, CrypTita Plays shared on her Facebook page that GCrypto Head Luis Buenaventura contributed several copies of his “Beginner’s Guide to Crypto” books to the initiative.

“The internet might be the go-to for digital knowledge, but for those in remote areas without smartphones or stable internet, printed magazines make all the difference. If there were a title like ‘Crypto-Hero’ for those going beyond traditional philanthropy, Luis Buenaventura, Head of G-Crypto at GCash would definitely earn it! Huge thanks for supporting our mini-library initiative with these magazines. Every page turned is a step toward empowerment!”

In an interview with BitPinas, Lingao shared that the collaboration began after they reached out to Buenaventura. In response, the GCrypto Chief supported the initiative by donating copies of his book, which were directly distributed to their selected beneficiaries.

Moreover, she also noted that the initiative was supported by CoinEx Charity. On the other hand, Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth is helping them develop crypto-focused materials, including their upcoming “Cryptita Plays” crypto book.

Lingao added that they are also set to feature “Saving Captain Airplane” by Bitskwela, a children’s book that claims to introduce Bitcoin in a fun and family-friendly way.

The Mini-Library Project

According to Lingao, Cryptita Plays started with basic outreach—like giving food and school supplies—but wanted to do more. They then realized that sharing knowledge, especially about crypto and digital tools, could give kids a head start, which led to the creation of the Mini-Library Project.

The Cryptita Plays team described the initiative as small libraries placed in remote areas, filled with beginner-friendly books on crypto, digital safety, and other important topics.

Lingao also shared that the Mini-Library Project is mainly for kids and teens aged 8 to 15 in underserved and remote communities who lack access to books, the internet, or modern learning tools.

Speaking about the feedback, she then noted that the initiative has been positive, with kids enjoying the books and parents appreciating the convenience and cost-saving benefits of borrowing educational materials.

The first mini-library was established in Kabatuhan, Negros Occidental. In addition, Cryptita Plays highlighted that two additional locations are in the works—one set for an elementary school in Roxas City this June and another at a high school in Agusan del Sur this November.

Looking Ahead

In addition to the two new locations, Cryptita Plays expressed plans to expand to a total of 10 mini-libraries and further grow their learning materials, starting with beginner-friendly content for kids and teens.

They are also looking to eventually offer structured paths for older students and young adults to explore topics such as development, digital safety, and earning and trading, to be able to help them build confidence in the web3 space.

“To keep the initiative sustainable and meaningful, we’re focusing on establishing only 10 mini-libraries, rolling out two each year until we complete the full set. We work closely with schools and community leaders to ensure each library is well-maintained, accessible, and fully integrated into the students’ learning environment—providing both traditional educational tools and beginner-friendly blockchain knowledge.”

Who is CrypTita Plays?

In the interview, Lingao shared that her crypto journey started in 2017 out of curiosity about Bitcoin. She noted that although it was overwhelming at first, she saw its potential and began helping others learn about it too.

According to her, “Cryptita” blends “crypto” and the Filipino word “tita” (aunt), symbolizing a warm, approachable, and guiding presence in the web3 space.

While Lingao is the known face of Cryptita Plays, she also credited her team for making the name a team-driven initiative focused on “making blockchain education fun, simple, and accessible—especially for kids and youth who don’t always have the resources others do.”

“But here’s the most important part: Cryptita Plays isn’t just me—it’s a team effort. It’s made up of passionate people who believe in the same mission of making crypto and blockchain education fun, relatable, and accessible, especially for the youth in underserved areas. Together, we dream, plan, and build everything side by side.”

Lingao added that they were motivated by the lack of access to crypto education in rural areas and aim to make blockchain knowledge simple and accessible.

Currently, CrypTita Plays’ Facebook page has 8,400 likes and 9,100 followers, while their Telegram group has 2,000 subscribers, and their X account has 1,650 followers.
